I refer to your email of 20 July 2017 requesting information relating to ERP/Finance System at the University of Aberdeen.
Your request has now been considered under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, ‘the Act’.
Q1. What ERP (Enterprise Resource Management) or finance system is currently used at the University?
A1. The University system is provided by Unit 4
Q2. When does you contract expire?
A2. The contract does not have an expiry date. Please accept this message as a notice under section 17(1)(b) of the Act that the information you have requested is not held by the University.
Q3. Do you have any planned upgrades of the software? If so, when?
A3. The next upgrade is expected Q4 2017
Q4. Are you planning to go to market for a different ERP/Finance system? If so, when?
A4. No
Q5. How many users/licenses of the system do you have at the University?
A5. The system is available to all University staff, c. 3500 people, and there is no cap on user numbers.
Q6. Who is the person responsible for your ERP/Finance system? Please provide full name, title and contact information if possible.

Should you be dissatisfied with this response, you have the right under the Act, to request a review. A request for review must be made within 40 working days of the date of this reply. It must include your name and address for correspondence and specify the request for information and the grounds for dissatisfaction with the decision. If you are unhappy with the outcome of the University’s internal review process, you have the right to appeal to the Scottish Information Commissioner within 6 months from the date of receipt of the University’s review notice. Should you remain dissatisfied with the Commissioner’s decision, you have a right of appeal to the Court of Session on a point of law.
