Dear Ms Hodges

Thank you for your email on 21 June addressed to the Commissioner for
Public Appointments in Scotland requesting information about our
enterprise resource planning/finance systems.

You addressed your email to the Commissioner for Public Appointments in
Scotland. Please note that this post was abolished on 1 April 2011 and its
functions transferred to the Commission for Ethical Standards in Public
Life in Scotland. The Commission itself was replaced by a single
Commissioner for Ethical Standards on 1 July 2013.

I am responding to your email on behalf of the Commissioner for Ethical
Standards in Public Life in Scotland under the terms of the Freedom of
Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA).

To understand our response, it may be helpful to know that the

have a single source of income (funding from the Scottish Parliament) and
are not registered for VAT. We use a basic version of Sage 50 Accounts to
manage invoices and other expenses.

If you are unhappy with how your request has been handled you should write
to Commissioner for Ethical Standards in Public Life in Scotland, Thistle
House, 91 Haymarket Terrace, Edinburgh EH12 5HE or
at [1][email address]. Your request for review should be made
within 40 working days and should explain why you are dissatisfied with
our response.

If you are not content with the outcome of our review, you may apply
directly to the Scottish Information Commissioner for a decision.
Generally, the Commissioner cannot make a decision unless you have
exhausted the review procedure provided by the Commissioner for Ethical
Standards.  More information can be found on the Scottish Information
Commissioner’s website: [2]www.itspublicknowledge.info\yourrights.
