Our queries:

In its current format, your request is essentially a large research
project that will require significant research by staff across the Trust.
Any attempt to compile the information you have requested would require
considerable staff time and most certainly exceed the maximum time limit
allowable under the Act.  We are therefore engaging section 12 exemption
(cost limit) regarding your request at this time.  We will provide further
information about the application of this exemption in our final response
if appropriate.

Under section 16 of the Act, the Trust has the responsibility of assisting
applicants with their FOI requests where possible and reasonable to do so.

We are therefore writing to ask that you revise and/or reduce the scope of
your request so that it will fall below the £450 limit as laid out under
the regulations.  In which case, we would be happy to reconsider your
request.  It would also be helpful if you can clarify the terms “Project,
Manufacturing, Sourcing, Config Snapshot, BI Tool” in the context of your
request and as these terms relate to the work of the NHS.

The aim of the Trust is to provide the best care possible for our
patients.  Freedom of Information requests that will require an
unreasonable amount of staff time to complete cannot be given priority
over the management and delivery of patient services.  Our staff simply do
not have the spare capacity to honour such large requests for
information.   We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Please note that the 20 working day clock associated with FOI requests
will restart once we have received a response from you.

We look forward to your reply and will respond in due course.  Some
information, however, might be withheld due to exemptions which are
allowed for by the Act. If this is the case, we will tell you that we have
withheld information and why.

In the meantime, if we can be of further assistance please do not hesitate
to contact the Trust at: [1][BSUH request email]

Yours sincerely
