Thank you for your request for information dated 12 October 2016, which you later clarified on 28 October 2016, concerning ERP systems used in the UK. Your request has been handled under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000 and has been passed to me for reply.

I can confirm, under section 1 (1) (a) of the FOIA, that the British Council does hold the information you have requested.

o Do you have an Oracle support partner for applications? If so who? No we do not, we run the SAP application we don’t run an Oracle ERP application
o What kind of support is included in the contract (functional/technical/etc.?) We run the SAP application we don’t run an Oracle ERP application

o Where do you advertise any Oracle procurement opportunities? We don’t advertise them as there are none, we run SAP not Oracle as our ERP system
o Who is responsible for looking after the contract for the Oracle estate? Nobody as we run SAP not Oracle as our ERP system, we only do a license return on SAP users
o Who is responsible for looking after the licenses for the Oracle estate? Nobody as we run SAP not Oracle as our ERP system, we only do a license return on SAP users
o How much do you pay annually for Oracle Support & Maintenance? We run SAP not Oracle as our ERP system so it’s not a separate payment annually for the Oracle database licenses, it is part and parcel of the annual maintenance paid to SAP
o When does this contract renew? It is part of the rolling annual maintenance contract that we have with SAP
o Do you work with off-shore partners? No, we work with HPE on-shore
