We are conducting a project on service provision for men with Erectile Dysfunction, with the overarching aim of helping to improve services for men across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

1. Does Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust provide an erectile dysfunction clinic and can you provide the total number and addresses of all NHS erectile dysfunction clinics within Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust? If you do not know who should we ask?

2. Does Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust provide psychosexual clinics and can you provide the total number and addresses of all NHS psychosexual clinics within Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust? If you do not know who should we ask?

Does Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust provide counselling and sex therapy services and can you provide the details of any NHS counselling services and sex therapy services that treat men with erectile dysfunction within Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust? 7. Is the daily dose of ‘tadalafil (Cialis)’ tablets (2.5/5mg) available/prescribed?

8. Does Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust prescribe the Vacuum erection device for men who experience erectile dysfunction as a result of prostate cancer treatment?

9. Does Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust offer Penile implant surgery (semi-rigid or inflatable implant devices) for men who experience erectile dysfunction as a result of prostate cancer treatment?

The Trust runs a clinic for erectile dysfunction at the Royal Berkshire
Hospital.

 

2. Does Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust provide psychosexual clinics
and can you provide the total number and addresses of all NHS psychosexual
clinics within Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust? If you do not know
who should we ask?

There is provision of 30 hours per week to run a Psychosexual Therapy
Service by a COSRT (College of Sex & Relationship Therapy) Accredited
Therapist. Clinics are held at the RBH and Thatcham Community Hospital.

 

3. Does Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust provide counselling and sex
therapy services and can you provide the details of any NHS counselling
services and sex therapy services that treat men with erectile dysfunction
within Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust? If you do not know who should
we ask?

As per question 2. Psychosexual Therapy is an umbrella term that includes
'sex therapy' and includes counselling as well as information and guidance
provided through an individualised treatment programme.

 

4. Does Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust provide PDE5-I and if so
which one?

Yes, sildenafil and avanafil

 

5. Does Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust prescribe ‘tadalafil
(Cialis)’ tablets for men who experience erectile dysfunction as a result
of prostate cancer treatment?

Yes we can prescribe Cialis on schedule 11

 

6. At what dose are the ‘tadalafil (Cialis)’ tablets prescribed?

20mg

 

7. Is the daily dose of ‘tadalafil (Cialis)’ tablets (2.5/5mg)
available/prescribed?

No

 

8. Does Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust prescribe the Vacuum erection
device for men who experience erectile dysfunction as a result of prostate
cancer treatment?

No.

 

9. Does Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust offer Penile implant surgery
(semi-rigid or inflatable implant devices) for men who experience erectile
dysfunction as a result of prostate cancer treatment?

No, however, the trust refers suitable patients to the University College
Hospital in London
