Dear Mr Hamilton

Thank you for your email requesting an internal review into why your
request (22861) was “not been dealt with within the legal time limit”
which was 6 working days overdue.

The Council is committed to meeting compliance with the Freedom of
Information and Act and all other statutory obligations that it is subject
to.  Unfortunately we have, like many other organisations, found ourselves
having to manage limited resources during these unprecedented and
unpredictable times.  We recognise the importance of transparency,
however, we also have an overriding duty of care to residents and visitors
of the borough to ensure that there are services, structures and support
in place to ensure safety especially for the more vulnerable in our
community.  This has meant having to divert some of our personnel
resources to assist with this effort.

I recognise that there are always areas for improvement and I will be
working with all information coordinators across the Council to ensure
that our policy on effective communication with requestors is maintained.

If you remain dissatisfied with the Council’s response you have the right
to contact the ICO. For further details please read the attached Appeals
Procedure.

Kind regards
