Equivalent Ranks

Paul Rhodes made this Freedom of Information request to Ministry of Defence

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Ministry of Defence,

Thank you for your reply and having established under your reply to my freedom of information question Ref: LF Sec/13/4/64339 dated 4 Jan 2011 that members of the Defence Fire Risk Management Organisation (DFRMO) are Civil Servants, please provide the equivalent civil service grades and military officer (Army) ranks for the following members of DFRMO officer corps:- Chief Officer – Deputy Chief Officer (is this an established post in DFRMO?) Assistant Chief Officer - Senior Divisional Officer - Divisional Officer – Assistant Divisional Officer – Station Officer? As an example; An SDO is a B2 or full Colonel equivalent. While I understand DFRMO has switched from rank to roll, the rank is still being worn and equivalent grades have an important input when applying for allowances.

Yours faithfully,

Mr P Rhodes
