Staffordshire Police

Dear Sirs,

In answer to your freedom of information request please find the following
information:

Cost of equipment:

1a Handcuffs                £16.95 each
1b Body Armour        £410.30 each
1c Baton                £64.50 each
1d CS spray                £10.58 each
1e "Does an officer share equipment?" - No, kit is normally issued to the
individual officers
1f   "Does a special constable have to pay for their uniforms?" - No, the
uniform is provided by the Police Authority.

2 "How much does it cost for a police officer to receive their uniform?" -
Not entirely sure what you are looking for here. If this is intended to
find out how much it costs to initially kit out an officer then the
figures would be, £1027.87 for a female PC and £1036.63 for a male PC.
Once kit is issued replacement will be on condemnation and as such there
is no standard cost for the replacement.
