Equality in employment for Mental Health

Dawn Iverson made this Freedom of Information request to Slough Borough Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Slough Borough Council,

Please could you provide me with statistics on the following:

1) The number of employees earning between £18,000 and £24,999

b) The number of employees in this salary band declaring a Mental Health disability or difficulty (usually found on monitoring forms when employing someone or during equality and diversity reviews).

2) The number of employees earning between £25,000 and £39,999

b) The number of employees in this salary bracket declaring a Mental Health disability or difficulty.

3) The number of employees earning between £40,000 and £59,999

b) The number of employees in this salary bracket declaring a Mental Health disability or difficulty.

4) The number of employees earning over £60,000

b) The number of employees in this salary bracket declaring a Mental Health disability or difficulty.

If it is not possible to break down the information in this way, I would be happy to receive it broken down into salary scales. I am looking for the difference in declaration of mental health issues between Directors, Senior managers, team managers and staff with no management responsibility.

I would like this information to come from the most recently available monitoring data.

Yours faithfully,

Dawn Iverson

Dear Conlon Kate,

Just out of interest,

Is the question about Mental Health not asked on any equality surveys or recruitment paperwork for Slough Borough Council?

I'm just wondering why there are no declarations at all.

Regards

Yours sincerely,

Dawn Iverson
