on 1st March 2018.  Please find below the response to your request:
1] Can you tell me if the volunteers that help input, to help shape and
impact local policing in neighbourhoods checked for criminal records prior
to being volunteers.

REPLY: All volunteers, regardless of the role that they will be
undertaking, go through Vetting prior to being appointed.  This process
includes checking for any criminal records.

2] Are the volunteers insured to be policing neighbourhoods and who are
they insured through, name of company and address required please.

REPLY: Volunteers are insured.

REPLY: When criminal records are disclosed or identified the force would
assess the applicant on a case by case basis.  If the applicant meets the
required threshold then the force would accept the individual as a
volunteer.

Dear Mrs R Williams,

Are you going to reply to this FOI request ?

Kind regards,

peter danby

Dear Mrs R Williams,

This FOI request is long overdue for a reply by law, and you are required to reply ASAP without further delay.

I would also like to say this company Insurer QBE. One Coval Wells, Chelmsford. CM1 1WZ does not interact with private people who ask questions, so as this is the case, your reply is not helpful in anyway to me.

I am writing to request an internal review of West Mercia Police's handling of my FOI request 'Equality & Diversity West Mercia Police in corroboration with volunteers helping shaping the impact on local policing in neighbourhoods'.

Kind regards,

peter danby & associates
