Dear InfoMgr, FinDMT,

Many thanks for your response.
You say 380 were referred under SJP... You state this is an administrative process. Can you confirm how many of the 380 were advised of the date their case would be presented at the Magistrates Court?

Yours sincerely,

Claire Davidson

Dear InfoMgr, FinDMT,
Can you please respond to the follow up question I sent on 09th July.

Yours sincerely,

Claire Davidson

Dear Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Environmental FPNs current position'.

On 09th July I sent a further query in response to your reply to my original question. Over 3 months later it still hasn't been answered

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/e...

Yours faithfully,

Claire Davidson

Dear Ms Davidson

Please accept our apologies for this oversight.

In response to your follow up question "...how many of the 380 were advised of the date their case would be presented at the Magistrates' Court" we would refer you to the following link which provides information about the administration of the SJP procedure - https://www.gov.uk/single-justice-proced....

As an administrative process, there is no notification of hearing date. The SJP allows a number of cases to be dealt with by a single magistrate, without either party having to attend court for a hearing.

Offenders are sent a SJP notice to the addresses provided at the time of the offence and given the opportunity to manage their cases in writing. If they plead guilty or fail to respond within 21 days, the case will be decided on the basis of the papers alone. Only if a plea of not guilty is received will the case be listed for a hearing.

We trust this answers your additional enquiry.

Yours sincerely
