Dear Aberdeen City Council,

This is a freedom of information request.

I seek the following information on Fixed Penalty notices issued by the organisation for dog fouling, litter and fly-tipping over the last three financial years.

Please break the requested information down by year and ward, if possible.

1. The number of Fixed Penalty Notices of each type issued.
2. The number of Fixed Penalty Notices of each type issued that were subsequently paid.
3. The number of Fixed Penalty Notices of each type that were referred to the procurator fiscal for non-payment.
4. The number of Fixed Penalty Notices of each type that were written off without being paid by the recipient.

Additionally, for each financial year, please confirm how many FTE officers in the organisation were authorised to issue these fixed penalty notices.

Dog Fouling:

Dog Fouling Fixed penalty notices are not ‘written off’ but remain
outstanding and further enforcement action may be pursued in cases of
non-payment.

 

Additionally, for each financial year, please confirm how many FTE
officers in the organisation were authorised to issue these fixed penalty
notices.

Flytipping:

2015/2016: 0

2016/2017: 2

2017/2018:  2

 

City Wardens for littering:

2015/2016: On 1st April 2016 there were 64.73 FTE City Wardens & Senior
City Wardens in post

2016/2017: On 1st April 2017 there were 63.16 FTE City Wardens & Senior
City Wardens in post

2017/2018: On 1st April 2018 there were 54.95 FTE City Wardens & Senior
City Wardens in post

 

Dog Fouling:

2 dog wardens were authorised to issue dog fouling FPNs in each of the
financial years and the following City Wardens:

1 April 2016 – 64.73 FTE City Wardens

1 April 2017 – 63.16 FTE City Wardens

1 April 2018 – 54.95 FTE City Wardens
