Environmental Enforcement
Dear Brighton and Hove City Council,
I would be grateful if you would provide the following information regarding your in-house Environmental Enforcement team:
a) A list of equipment that is carried on patrol by EEOs (such as body worn video, portable printer, handheld computer, sharps gloves and other PPE). Including the brand, model and individual unit cost where applicable.
b) A list of uniform worn by / supplied to EEOs. Including brand, product and style options and individual unit cost where applicable. And a 'uniform catalogue' if one exists.
c) The name of software used for FPN issuing and processing and any training manuals, screenshots or other associated documents.
d) An example or blank FPN - if there are different layouts for different types of FPNs please include each type.
e) The number of EEOs currently employed and the operational structure (e.g. how many team leaders or supervisors).
f) The number of EEOs currently employed who were previously employed by 3GS (UK) Ltd. during their time holding the enforcement contract.
g) (if applicable) if the remitted area is divided into patrol areas, a list or map of these areas.
h) (if applicable) details of any systems or strategies regarding lone worker safety, such as panic alarms, radios with designated panic buttons, location tracking system.
i) The number of FPNs issued divided by offence, and a number or percentage of each outcome (e.g. early payment, full payment, prosecution etc.).
j) The name of any system(s) used for the verification of alleged offenders.

When you can expect to receive a response to your FOI request
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 the Council has a legal
obligation to respond to your request no later than 20 working days
following the date of receipt. Wherever possible, a response to your FOI
request will be sent to you before the legal deadline of 20 working days.
