Entry and exit data on Royal Navy and Royal Marines personnel

The request was partially successful.

Dear Royal Navy,

I would like to request quantifiable data on Royal Navy and Royal Marines personnel who are on waiting lists, have entered service, and have left service.

I would like the equality monitoring data, medical status, and qualification level or status for these groups. I would like this ordered by year for the last five years.

I am particularly interested in those from the following occupational categories:
* Engineering
* Environmental health
* Communications and Information
* Writer Logisticians
* All other logistics

I am happy to discuss alternative ways of making this request in order to stay within statutory limits and respect the rights of third parties.

Yours faithfully,

Jonathan Bishop

Dear Def Strat-Stat-PQ-FOI-Mailbox (MULTIUSER),

Apologies for my late response to your clarification request.

The protected characteristics you list are the ones I would like to be used. It is pleasing that data is stored in this newly designated format.

I am happy for "waiting list" to be separated into the various stages of the recruitment process, so that the data on protected characteristics relates to how they stand at the various stages of recruitment.

I would be happy for this data to be accompanied by Medical Deployability Status, and thank you for exercising your duty to assist in this regard.

Yours sincerely,

Jonathan Bishop

Dear Mr Shorter,

Thank you for your email dated 10 January 2016, requesting the following
information on:

(1) How many Regular RN/RM Officers below 1* are currently serving or
forecast to serve beyond 55? For the avoidance of doubt, I do not include
FTRS personnel but only those regular Officers who have been granted
extended commissions.

(2) Of those at (1), how many are employed in Acting Higher Rank?

(3) if possible, could you provide a breakdown by rank and/or branch.

I am treating your correspondence as a request for information under the
Freedom of Information Act 2000.

A search for the information has now been completed within the Ministry of
Defence, and I can confirm that all the information in scope of your
request is held.

I attach a response to your request.

Kind regards,

Dear Mr Bishop,

Please accept my apologies for the emails in relation to another
whatdotheyknow.com request.

The response to your request dated 16^th December 2015 was sent out from
here on 19^th January 2016 and resent on 05^th February 2016; however the
same email address was erroneously used to respond to the unrelated
request.  I have tried to recall the message(s), however, this was
unsuccessful.

Again, my apologies for the oversight.

I trust that you have – by now – received  the correct response, enclosed
with this email once more.

Regards,
