Enrolment and graduate figures for the Frontline (social work) program

The request was successful.

Dear University of Bedfordshire,
I wish to request information on the number of students who have been enrolled in, and graduated from, the Frontline program for social work, from the period of 2014-2019.

Frontline enrolment and awarding of degrees is administered and accredited by the University of Bedfordshire. Students are awarded with a Post Graduate Diploma (social work) after one year of study and a Masters (social work) after two years of study.

It would be particularly helpful if the following table could be completed, breaking down new enrolment numbers, Diploma graduate numbers and Masters graduate numbers in each year.

# New Enrolments # Awarded PGDip # Awarded Masters
2014
2015
2016
2017
2018
2019

Thank you for your assistance
Yours faithfully,
Louise Wilson

Dear University of Bedfordshire,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of University of Bedfordshire's handling of my FOI request 'Enrolment and graduate figures for the Frontline (social work) program'.

For the data requested on the number of students enrolled on the final 60 credits of Masters from the 2017 cohort the response reads "Insufficient data to report due to exam board timing".
These students would have had to have been enrolled during 2018 therefore I fail to understand this response. Could the reviewer(s) please answer the following:
1/ Explain further the statement "Insufficient data to report due to exam board timing"
2/ Provide the number of students from the 2017 cohort enrolled on the final 60 credits of Masters either at the date of this original FOI request (18 July 2019) or as of August 31 2019.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/e...

Yours faithfully,

Louise Wilson

Dear Louise,

Please see our responses below:

1. Explain further the statement "Insufficient data to report due to exam board timing"

The 2017 cohort began the 60 credit unit in September 2018 and are due to be awarded in October 2019. Therefore there is no data yet to report on the numbers of awarded students until that Board has sat.

2. Provide the number of students from the 2017 cohort enrolled on the final 60 credits of Masters either at the date of this original FOI request (18 July 2019) or as of August 31 2019.

Originally enrolled in Sept 2018: 246. As of 9th September 2019: 212 students remain current.

Kind Regards
