Dear Leicestershire County Council,
The Latimer Primary School, Latimer Street, Anstey, confirmed in March 2018 that the Governors had decided 'to pursue converting Latimer Primary School to an academy operating within a local 'Multi Academy Trust' (MAT)'. A letter was then emailed on 26th November 2018 in which Latimer School advised that they had decided not to pursue becoming part of a MAT and would remain a Local Authority Maintained School.
I would like to understand the background to this final decision. Please would you provide copies of correspondence between Leicestershire County Council and Latimer Primary School, which would have been substantive in the decision not to pursue joining the MAT; to include any financial related decisions/implications.
