English language requirements

The request was partially successful.

Dear King’s College London,
The KCL undergraduate admission requires a minimum of grade C to be achieved in Igcse English Language or equivalent. It also
states that English as a second language at grade A(with 2 in speaking) can be achieved as one of the English qualifications available. The table also includes IELTS.Is a combination of both IELTS
and 2nd language English required to fulfill the minimum requirement.Or, is IELTS good enough to hit the English language requirement , given that 'an applicant' has gotten a grade B in 2nd language English? Also a language (German)with a significant background has been taken at A levels.

Yours faithfully,

Shannon Ahmed

Information Compliance, King's College London

Dear Shannon Ahmed,

As we state on our website, the level of English language you are required to demonstrate is dependent on the programme you have applied for. The bands show the level of English language competence required for undergraduate programmes, and the English language tests accepted.
https://www.kcl.ac.uk/study/undergraduat...

Under each ‘Band’ on our website, we list the relevant programmes the English requirement refers to. Please see the English Language Proficiency Tests section in reference to which tests we accept. Please note we will not accept multiple qualifications to meet the English Language requirement. One qualification for example an (I)GCSE or an IELTS should meet all criteria.
