Dear Adi

Request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 ("FOIA")

Thank you for your email, dated 31 October 2023, which has been interpretated as a request ("Your Request") for information held by Trinity College (the "College") under the FOIA.

You have asked us to provide the following data for admissions into the engineering course for the 2022 UCAS cycle:

1. Achieved/Predicted Scores of applicants 2. If they were a home, EU or international student 3. Subjects taken by the applicants.
4. Their ENGAA scores (separated into rows and reported scored for section 1A,1B and 2) 6. Their interview scores 7. If they were admitted, rejected or pooled. Do list if the pooled application was successful and the college which admitted them. also do list if they got pre interview rejected.

Please find attached the data you have requested.

Please note that we cannot provide you with the data for rejected applicants. Under the College's data retention and protection policy for Admissions (April 2021), all information about rejected applicants has now been deleted. This is in line with Article 5 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which sets out the principle that personal information should be "kept in a form which permits identification of data subjects for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal information are processed". As information on rejected applicants is no longer needed for admissions purposes, it has therefore been deleted.

Should you have any queries or concerns about the way Your Request has been handled or the response provided then you can ask the College to conduct an internal review (a "Review"). Any request for a Review should be sent in writing to [Trinity College, Cambridge request email] within 40 working days of receiving this response. Please clearly set out the grounds on which you seek a Review.

Should you be dissatisfied with the outcome of the College's Review, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, who is the regulator of the FOIA. You can raise a complaint via their website or contact them using the following details: Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF (0303 123 1113) (https://ico.org.uk/).

Yours sincerely
