Engineering Science Undergraduate Statistics: 2017/18 Admissions Cycle

The request was refused by University College, Oxford.

Dear University College, Oxford,

I am making a FOI request for the following:

1)The ratio of state school to private school students admitted in 2017/18
2) The PAT scores, GCSE results, predicted grades and interview scores of all interviewed candidates in the 2017/18 admissions cycle for Engineering Science (without revealing the personal information about individual candidates, such as name and school, thus providing the data in an anonymous way e.g. candidate 1,2 etc.)

Yours faithfully,

Barry

Ian Boutle, University College, Oxford

Dear Barry,

1) The University of Oxford routinely publishes this information each year; information up to 2016 entry is currently available at www.ox.ac.uk/about/facts-and-figures/adm... and information on the 2017 entry will be published in due course; a section 22 exemption therefore applies.

2) The University of Oxford has recently responded to another request detailing this information, which you can find at https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/e.... This data covers the University as a whole, within which specific colleges' data are not circumscribed. We hold this data at college level, but advise that the number of candidates shortlisted for interview for Engineering at University College specific is small (<20) and the data already released is therefore more informative and carries less risk of individual students being identified.

I hope that this helps.

Many thanks,

Ian
