Dear Aviram Cohen,

Please provide information on the latest 4 admission cycles.

Please find the requested information in the attached spreadsheet, titled:
FOI request – F512.19-20.

Data notes:

·       The University has provided data for the four years from 2016/17
until 2019/20 admissions cycles as the 2020/21 cycle is not yet complete.

·       Electrical Power Engineering was introduced for the 20/21 cycle,
replacing Energy and Power Engineering, so the University has included the
data for Energy and Power Engineering.

·       The University does not interview for the courses listed therefore
questions so 7-9 are not applicable.

·       With regards to questions 13 and 14, in quite a few cases the main
subject area was Engineering, so the University has provided the three
most common subject area studied by offer holders for each of the courses
in each year. The University records the equivalent grade using the UK
grading system, so it has provided the average classification for Home
offer holders for each of the years shown.

·       Please note that where the University has stated the value as ‘<’
it declines to provide the actual figure on the grounds that the numbers
are very small and could potentially lead to the identification of
individuals, which may place the University in breach of the General Data
Protection Regulation 2016 and the Data Protection Act 2018. The
University is relying on the exemption under section 40(2) of the Freedom
of Information Act 2000 in this regard.

I trust that this information will be helpful to you, but if you are
