Engineering Admissions Statistics 2019

2. Subjects taken by the applicants
3. ENGAA scores
4. Their interview scores
5. If they were admitted, rejected or pooled. Do list if the pooled application was successful.

Please note the following:
The data provided is for students who applied to Engineering in 2019 for direct entry in 2020, or deferred entry in 2021.

1) Achieved/Predicted Scores of applicants. This data refers to students applying with predicted grades and students applying with grades already achieved for: A levels (and AS level where the applicant did not complete the full A level); Cambridge Pre-U; Scottish Advanced Highers; International Baccalaureate.
a. For this data, Cambridge Pre-U grades D1 and D2 are equivalent to A*. Cambridge Pre-U grade D3 is equivalent to A.
b. For applicants taking the International Baccalaureate, grades are given in the format of “total points, scores in Higher Level Subjects”.
2) Subjects taken by the applicants. This data refers to subjects which were taken by applicants for: A levels (and AS level where the applicant did not complete the full A level); Cambridge Pre-U; Scottish Advanced Highers; International Baccalaureate Higher Level subjects only. It does not include the Extended Project Qualification, Critical Thinking or General Studies.
3) ENGAA scores. This data refers to the ENGAA scores for Section 1: Part A, Section 1: Part B, and Section 2 of the Engineering Admissions Assessment (ENGAA).
4) Interview Scores. This data refers to the number of interview scores which were awarded a score of 0 – 4.5, 5 – 7.5, and greater than 7.5.
5) Admitted, rejected or pooled. This data refers to:
a. Admitted: Candidates who were successfully admitted to Pembroke College for direct entry in 2020, or deferred entry in 2021. This includes direct applicants, and any who were made an offer via Adjustment or the Summer Pool. It does not include candidates who were given an offer by Pembroke College and were not successfully admitted to Pembroke. It does not include Candidates who were made an offer by Pembroke College but who were subsequently admitted to another College following the Summer Pool.
b. Rejected: Candidates who were deselected pre-interview, and those who were rejected by Pembroke College and were not put in the winter pool.
c. Pooled: Candidates who applied to Pembroke College and were placed in the winter pool.
