Engagement with expatriate groups on behalf of Dept Exiting EU

The request was partially successful.

Dear Foreign and Commonwealth Office,

I recently made an FOI request to the Department for Exiting the EU, asking which expatriate groups they had contacted, as described in their Brexit 'white paper'.

This request can be seen here: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/e...

As per their response, they claim not to know which groups have been consulted in this way.
They suggest contacting you to discover this information - this is what I am now doing.

As you will see in the body of my original request (see link above), I am concerned that while the DExEU claim to have met with many expat groups, a community leader says he is unaware of any group that has been involved in such feedback. I am therefore requesting a list of the expatriate groups contacted for this purpose so that I, and others, can evaluate whether DExEU's search of opinions covers sufficient types of groups to provide a full picture for Brexit planning.

Please will you provide details of which groups/representatives that you have arranged meetings with in this manner.

Yours faithfully,

Robert Davidson

Foreign and Commonwealth Office
