Engagement with expatriate groups
Dear Department for Exiting the European Union,
In the 'Brexit White Paper', paragraph 6.3, your department states:
"we have engaged a range of stakeholders, including expatriate groups, to ensure we understand the priorities of UK nationals living in EU countries"
Yet in an article in the Guardian on 13th March, David Spokes of the group 'Expat citizen rights in EU' is quoted as saying:
"we have yet to find one group that has been approached by the Department for Exiting the EU"
I therefore request, using Freedom of Information statute, that you publish a full list of expatriate groups that you have consulted to help you 'understand the priorities of UK nationals living in EU countries'.
Yours faithfully,
Rob Davidson
