Engagement of Dr Harold A.Aspden
Dear University of Southampton,
could you please tell me the conditions of the employment of the above-named person upon leaving IBM?
In particular, what was the extent of his teaching duties?
What was the nature of his research work?
Was his salary paid by the university, or by IBM?
Who, at the university, approved his engagement?
Thankyou for your attention.
Yours faithfully,
Dr D.Fisher
Dear University of Southampton,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of University of Southampton's handling of my FOI request 'Engagement of Dr Harold A.Aspden'.
My request was made on the 8th June, and I have heard nothing substantive since then.
Sincerely,
(Dr) David J.Fisher

Dear Dr. Fisher,
Your request for an internal review is acknowledged. We will contact you again with the results of the internal review.
Yours sincerely,
FOI Team
Dear Foi,
I note that this request has now been under 'internal review' for more than one year. May I point out that Dr Aspden died some 2 months ago, so that any cause for delay based upon regard for the latter's feelings is now void.
Yours sincerely,
Dr D.Fisher
