Enforcement Records of BBC TV License Detector Vans

Isaiah R made this Freedom of Information request to British Broadcasting Corporation

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was refused by British Broadcasting Corporation.

Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,

I am filing a Freedom of Information Request to find the enforcement records of the TV Licence Detector vans.

I have seen news from various sources that your TV detector vans cannot actually detect if someone is watching television programs.

I am asking for this information to see whether public money was mismanaged on empty threats.

I await your reply.
Yours faithfully,

Isaiah R

Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,

I would like to know the count of enforcements and prosecutions, broken down by year and region if possible.

Yours faithfully,

Isaiah R

However, to fully comply with your request, I shall provide the following:
- valid name - Isaiah Rentons
- address for correspondence
122 Bishopthorpe Road
Bristol
BS10 5AG
- clearly describe the information requested
I would like to know the count of enforcements and prosecutions as a direct result of BBC TV License Detector Vans(https://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/faqs/FAQ73), broken down by year and region if possible.
- legible ( fills the above)
- in writing(fills the above)

As I have complied with Section 8 of the Freedom of Information Act, I would like a response within the 20 days as outlined by the Freedom of Information Act.

Yours sincerely,

Just to share...

... there is no need at all for you to provide this extra identification, none.

Perhaps refer the BBC to this URL :-

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/help/priv...

and the detail it holds on how WDTK.com satisfies all aspects of the FOIA and it's requirements of identification :-). They do not need your full name or address at all, the email WDTK.com uses for your request is enough :-)

In fact I would suggest you ask an admin on WDTK.com (https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/help/cont...) to ask them to obscure your personal information from display on this website.

Mark.
