Enforcement for regulation 28 response

The request was partially successful.

Dear Department of Health and Social Care,

We understand that there is currently no enforcement underpinning the legal obligation for authorities and companies to respond to or act on regulation 28 reports.

The absence of enforcement allows parties to not take remedial action to prevent future deaths. Therefore please could you let us know if there are any plans on file to implement enforcement in future?

If you have no information on the matter we would appreciate any suggestion as to who we should contact for this information under the Freedom of Information Act.

Thanks in advance.

Yours faithfully,

Gemma Partridge
