Do you have any plans for the future for replacing your tenants old boilers that are currently in property for a energy efficient boiler
as most of your property's have old boilers nearly 15 years old
As the decent home standards says Boiler no more than 15
years old and system no more than 40 years old.To be replaced or repaired if in poor condition.

i am representing no one as this is a freedom of information request..
At what point would you change these boilers 15 years 20 years 25 years as the decent home standard says boilers to be replaced or if in poor condition do you have any plans in place to replace these old boilers. I may have to ask for requesting of an internal review many thanks

they have not given me a answer at all just keep asking me what i want to no and who i am and why i want this information. i find this very dissatisfied with the question i asked i was not given a answer

Hi John

We do have a programme in place for the replacement and rationalisation of our heating appliances and systems this is a Capital investment programme and will take a number of years however as systems fail they are also being replaced outside of the programme but the costs being transferred into capital to reflect the investment in the asset. The investment programme is a planned programme and a contract has been tendered and is in the process of being evaluated in line with correct commercial practice and in accordance with NAO guidelines. The reactive replacement is being driven by the stock as it fails and we are replacing boilers which are no longer cost effective to maintain with new condensing appliances. Those which can be repaired will be repaired as they fail.
