I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 on behalf of Crohn's & Colitis UK to request the following information:
To know:
a) the number of patients on the endoscopy waiting list with suspected Inflammatory Bowel Disease
b) the number of patients with suspected Inflammatory Bowel Disease who are waiting more that 6 weeks for endoscopy.
c) the percentage of patients on the endoscopy waiting list with suspected Inflammatory Bowel Disease
d) the percentage of patients with suspected Inflammatory Bowel Disease who are waiting more that 6 weeks for endoscopy.
Please could this information be provided in an Excel spreadsheet.
If it is not possible to provide this information due to exceeding the cost of compliance limits, I would be grateful if you could advise how this request could be refined.

This information is not recorded
Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease are not identifiable on the
endoscopy waiting list, and the data cannot be manipulated to respond to
the request. The waiting list is generic and includes all patients
waiting by procedure type and urgency, not by condition.
Please note that this response has been provided within the 20 working day
timeframe as stipulated in the Act.
