Dear Merton College, Oxford,
I understand that a TV company has recently filmed within your college.
I have a few questions:
1) How much was Merton paid?
2) Were the undergraduates or tutors notified beforehand of the event(s) ?
3) Do requests from TV companies go through the due process of your governing body?
Thank you for your enquiry to Merton College.
With regard to question 1, we are believe this information is exempt from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 s.43. In drawing this conclusion, we have considered the public interest test.
With regard to question 2 and 3, requests by TV companies to use the College as a location for filming go through due process. Members of the College are notified.
