1. How many empty homes are there in the borough on a ward by ward basis?
2. How many of these empty homes are Council owned?
3. Of the empty homes that are Council owned, how many bedrooms are one bedroom, two bedroom and three bedroom?
4. Of the empty properties, how many are privately owned?
5. In your reply to the questions above, when (what month and year) were the figures actually collected?

Thank you for your request for information received on 18 June 2018, in
which you asked for the following information:

 

1.  How many empty homes are there in the borough on a ward by ward basis?

2.  How many of these empty homes are Council owned?

3.  Of the empty homes that are Council owned, how many bedrooms are one
bedroom, two bedroom and three bedroom?

4.  Of the empty properties, how many are privately owned?

5.  In your reply to the questions above, when (what month and year) were
the figures actually collected?

 

My response is as follows:

 

1.       Please see attached spread sheet, which has been provided by our
Council Tax team.

2.       Homes for Haringey, our housing ALMO have advised that as at
13/7/2018 we have 166 voids

3.       There are 80 one beds, 43 two beds,  and 31 three beds.

4.       We do not record this information, but it could be calculated by
the total number of empty homes minus those owned by the Council which are
empty.

5   Council Tax report run on 29/06/2018, Homes for Haringey information
dated 13/07/18.

The figures for empty homes in Highgate and Hornsey wards appear to be 100 and 200 respectively. Is it possible that these are estimates rather than exact figures?
