Empty Homes

Waltham Forest Borough Council did not have the information requested.

Dear Waltham Forest Borough Council,

Would you be able to supply me with the following lists under the Freedom of Information Act.

1) Please could you supply me with a copy of the HMO register along with the names and address of the owners.

2) Could you also provide an address list of current long-term empty homes within the borough.

3) Lastly, would you be able to provide an address list of Council houses and housing association

I am writing to confirm that the Council has now completed its search for
the information which you requested on 22nd January 2019 about Freedom of
Information request - Empty Homes.

The information supplied has been provided by the department responsible
for the service delivery.

The information supplied to you continues to be protected by the
Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. You are free to use it for your
own purposes, including any non-commercial research you are doing and for
the purposes of news reporting. Any other reuse, for example commercial
publication, would require the permission of the copyright holder.

We do not provide lists of empty homes under FOI, please see attached
First Tier Tribunal Ruling on this subject matter.
We do not hold addresses of all council and housing association property
except where the tenant is in receipt of Housing Benefits and that
information is exempt.

A register of mandatory HMO addresses that are licensed under part 2 is
available at the Council's web pages at

such as the premises address and the name of the licence holder

You may also view a full version of the HMO register by appointment at the
Council's offices. If you wish to view a copy of the property register,
you can email [email address] giving at least 2
working days’ notice of your proposed date/time to visit the Council
offices. The register would normally be available between 10 a.m. and 4
p.m. Monday to Friday only

If you require copies of any part of the register, this will be supplied
to you in paper form at a cost of £10 per property/entry
