Dear WWW: FOI,

Without answer from you after the 20 working days delay, I allow myself to come back to you about my FOI.

Can you provide me any information about the empty houses request I sent you?

From the other councils' answers, I understand that you cannot disclose the address details of the empty houses, nonetheless, you should be able to give me the parish names/or postcodes/or wards where the houses are located.

Merry Christmas.

Yours sincerely,

Bugault Olivia

The Authority does not have an Empty Homes Strategy however the return to
use of empty homes is a key priority in the Council’s Private Sector
Housing Renewal Strategy. The section on Empty Homes identifies our
strategic objectives to be:

 1. To increase the supply of good quality accommodation.

partners to develop and sustain initiatives to maximize the return of
empty properties to beneficial use.

enforcement action) to return long-term empty properties to beneficial
use.

target those properties which have been empty for more than 6 months with
a particular focus on those whose appearance/condition detracts from the
amenities of the neighbourhood.
