Regarding your request for information  under the Freedom of Information
Act 2000:  Ref:  foi/915/13

 

““I am writing to request the following information under the Freedom

Of Information Act 2000:

 

(a) addresses of all “long term empty” Commercial properties that

are within Brighton & Hove Council area; and

 

(b) the names of the owners of those properties referred to in (a)”

 

 

Please find set out below the information in response to the above
request:

 

““a) The council has an active and effective empty property strategy
working largely with residential properties but also looking at the
potential use of empty non-residential property in the city.  In this
capacity the Empty Property Team may be in contact with or in negotiations
relating to some of the properties listed here.  Please contact that team
on 01273 293297 or email [email address] for further
details regarding this and for further information on the council’s
positive approach to dealing with empty properties and returning them to
use as homes.

 

b) See attachment - Where a property belongs to an individual, both the
individual’s name and the property address are considered to be personal
data and exempt from disclosure”
