16^th February 2017
Dear Ms. Herridge
I write in response to your request for information dated 13^th February,
2017, received by the University and passed to me as the University’s
Freedom of Information Officer for action.
In response to your questions:
1. What is the percentage of 2015/2016 graduates that found a career in
their chosen career path within 6 months of graduating?
2. Of those 2015/2016 graduates, what percentage of graduates started with
a salary of £21,000 and above within the first 6 months?
This information is not currently held by the University of Northampton.
Our annual survey into the destinations of leavers from higher education
is currently being carried out for those students who graduated at the end
of the 2015-16 academic year. The survey takes place six months after
graduation and the findings from the current survey will be available
towards the end of August or the beginning of September 2017. If you still
require this information please contact us again in September.
Additionally please note that graduates are not asked, in the survey, if
they have found a career or job in their chosen career path. As the
subject matter of any degree awarded does not necessarily indicate a
choice of career path the University would not be able to answer this
question in its current form.
I hope the University has made its response in a clear and constructive
manner; however, if you consider the University has handled your request
unfairly you are entitled to follow the process set out in our standard
advice on the University's Freedom of Information Complaints Procedure
which is available online at:
