Dear Kriti

Further to your request of 16th January for information under the Freedom
of Information Act 2000, the School considers that exemption under S40 (2)
of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 relating to personal data applies
to your request, as the raw data used to calculate the employment and
salary statistics published in the Masters in Financial Analysis
Employment Reports comprises personal data about each individual graduate.

I hope that you find this response to your request satisfactory.  However,
if you are not content with the response you may ask the School to review
it.  If you wish to do this, please write to Richard Frost, Secretary,
London Business School, Regents Park, London NW1 4SA enclosing a copy of
your original request and explaining your complaint.

If you remain dissatisfied, you may ask the Information Commissioner to
review our decision.  Details of how to contact the Commissioner are found
at www.ico.org.uk or telephone 01625 545745.

Best wishes,

Jennifer

Dear Kriti

I am writing further to your request of 8 February for an internal review of the School's decision to apply the exemption set out in Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act to your request of 16 January for the raw data used to calculate the employment and salary statistics published in the Masters in Financial Analysis Employment Reports.

Having reviewed the School's response and your confirmation in your email of 8 February that you do not want the name or personal details of any students, I have concluded that the raw data used to calculate the employment statistics should be released. Please find attached a spreadsheet with the relevant data.

However, I have concluded that the exemption set out in Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act does apply to your request for the raw data used to calculate salary statistics. This is because when combined with other information already in the public domain, this data could enable the salary of individual graduates to be ascertained. Consequently I have decided that this information should not be released.

If you are dissatisfied with this decision, you may ask the Information Commissioner to review it. Details of how to contact the Commissioner are found at www.ico.org.uk or telephone 01625 545745.

Yours sincerely

Richard Frost
