Dear London Business School,
May I have access to the raw data used to calculate the employment and salary statistics published in the Masters in Management Employment reports for the classes of 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019?
Md Labib Sadbin Hasan
Dear Mr Hasan,
Further to your request of 21 May for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, please find the data you requested in the attached spreadsheet.
Please note that London Business School has decided not to release salary data as it considers the exemption under Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to apply. Given the small number of students offered employment in certain sectors (such as Government/ Public Admin) salaries could be calculated for individuals, given the data already in the public realm. This makes it personal data under the Data Protection Act 1998 and its release would breach the First Principle of that Act.
I hope that you find this response to your request satisfactory. However, if you are not content with the response you may ask the School to review it. If you wish to do this, please write to Richard Frost, Secretary, London Business School, Regents Park, London NW1 4SA enclosing a copy of your original request and explaining your complaint.
If you remain dissatisfied, you may ask the Information Commissioner to review our decision. Details of how to contact the Commissioner are found at www.ico.org.uk or telephone 01625 545745.
