Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, South Lanarkshire Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear South Lanarkshire Council,

I am gathering employment and local demographic data in relation to the local health & social care market place. It is with this mind that I hope you can supply the required information for the following job Categories. If possible could this information please be presented for the year Jan 2010 - Dec 2010, annual total and monthly breakdown.

Qualified Social Worker
Residential Support Workers
Nurses
Allied Healthcare Professionals
(Arts Therapists, Biomedical Scientists, Chiropodists &
Podiatrists, Clinical Scientists, Dieticians, Hearing Aid
Dispensers, Occupational Therapists, Operating Department
Practitioners, Orthoptists, Paramedics, Physiotherapists,
Practitioner Psychologists, Prosthetists/Orthotists, speech & Language Therapists)

1. Total Number of staff Directly employed across the council per job type, by department
2. Number of temporary agency staff on placement within the council per job type, by department and by supplier
3. Total Number of permanent jobs filled/resourced through
recruitment agencies
4. Total Spend on direct employment across the council per job type, by department
5. Total Spend on Temporary agency labour across the council, per job type, per department and by supplier
6. Total spend on Permanent fees paid to Agencies
7. Average Salary for each job role above based on results from 2010 for direct staff and agency staff

Clarification of Request

Please note that the Council cannot accept your request because you did not describe part of the information requested adequately. Please either rephrase or supply more details with regards to 'Residential Support Workers' and what you interpret this to be.

As soon as we receive your clarification, we will deal with your request. We will respond to you within 20 working days.

Request for Review

The Council has a Review Panel to deal with complaints from people who are not happy about the way that it has handled their request. Staff not involved in the original decision will handle any review.

If you want to complain, you can ask the Review Panel to look at the way we have dealt with your request. It will consider whether we have complied with the requirements of FOISA. Please note that if you wish to complain, you must do so by 26 August 2011. You must explain why you are not happy when requesting a review.

Please note that the Review Panel cannot look at decisions taken by the Council or actions of the Council or any of its employees or a service provided by it that are not connected to the handling for request for information.

within a home for people with disabilities
