Dear Mr. James,

I expect that we will be in a position to respond to your request at the
latest by next Friday, but hopefully at the beginning of the week.

We are required under the legislation to consult with third parties who
may be adversely affected by release of information by the council. In
this case, the third party is the Metropolitan Police Service, who has
asked that we consult with them over any information that we are
considering for release in relation to Grenfell (as it may prejudice their
criminal investigation).

The report was sent the MPS yesterday morning and we await their response.

Yours sincerely
