Dear Beth
FOI 27290
Thank you for contacting Buckinghamshire Council and your request for
information below regarding Emergency Duty Team foster carers.
This request has been handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Please find the relevant details below.
1. What is the model of delivery / how do you ensure cover?
We have carers who are willing to go on the EDT list and they are paid
per night that they are on the list.
2. How do you incentivise foster carers to take teenagers?
Teenagers are paid at a higher rate, we hold regular ‘carers with
vacancies’ events to hear about the older children needing a home and
hear from experienced teenage carers about the benefits of caring for
older children.
3. Your standard weekly rate (excluding child allowance)?
Please refer to the Finance policy attached.
