your authority. Please could you offer any details regarding the following
questions:

Our response:
What is the model of delivery / how do you ensure cover?
Foster carers who have the interest and skills in providing foster homes
to children and young people on an emergency basis are part of a rota
which ensures that there is provision 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
Foster carers consider whether they have the skills and space to be on the
emergency rota with their fostering social worker, as well as the learning
and training which would support them to take up the role.
How do you incentivise foster carers to take teenagers?
Fostering households progress through a skills level matrix, which
recognises their development as foster carers, to offer foster homes for
more complex children. Complexity is not limited to age however, and may
include teenagers as well as other young people.
Your standard weekly rate (excluding child allowance)
An additional allowance is paid to foster carers who are on the emergency
rota of £140 per week.
Please note, in addition to this, we are currently reviewing our offer for
Emergency Carers.
