Emergency Admissions and Ambulance Arrivals for Over-65s
Dear North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust,
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request the following data:
1. The total number of emergency hospital admissions for people aged 65 and over, broken down by year (2022, 2023, and 2024 where available).
2. The total number of these emergency admissions that involved the patient arriving via ambulance, broken down by year (2022, 2023, and 2024 where available).
3. The number of emergency admissions for people aged 65 and over that were explicitly recorded as relating to falls, fractures, or other household-related accidents, broken down by specific cause or item involved (e.g., fall from stairs, fall in the bathroom, etc.). If possible, please also provide the average or median length of hospital stay for these admissions.
If possible, please provide the data in Excel or CSV format.
If you hold the data in a different format or categorisation, or if parts of the request are too broad, I would be grateful for any guidance on how to refine the request to make it more manageable.
