EMA, NEA, JSA, ESA, DLA, PIP, Bursary Fund, Incapacity Benefit and Universal credit claimant statistics

The request was partially successful.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,
I am writing to you find request several pieces of information under the Freedom of Information act (FIOA).

Firstly I would like to know how many areas either currently have or used to have Universal Credit in them before ESA replaced Incapacity Benefit. I would further if possible like to know what these areas where and where Universal Credit rolled out to them and what date Incapacity Benefit was either removed or is going to be removed if it has not yet been done for that area.

I am also requesting information relating to NEA. Could I please know how many JSA claimants ended there claim and started getting NEA as a replacement income instead. Could I also please get information on how many people are claiming both Universal Credit and NEA at the same time.

Also regarding JSA and Universal Credit would you please be able to tell me out of how many households that have 2 or more people claiming JSA how many of these households are listed as having at least 1 joint claim in them against how many of the households with 2 or more people in are listed as everyone in that household having there own individual claim. And then again could I also have this comparison for households with 2 or more people in claiming Universal Credit please?

I would also like to know what percentage of both single and joint claims for Universal Credit are currently ran clerically if possible please?

I am also interested in learning how many people claiming the Limited/no capability for work element of Universal Credit have been moved onto DLA and how is it possible for these claimants to do so. Could I also have this information but based on being moved from claiming Universal Credit to PIP as well please?

Could I also please know the number of people who where claiming EMA who have claimed Bursary Fund since the EMA benefit stopped? Also relating to EMA would you please be able to tell me how many people who claimed EMA have since successfully applied for NEA payments. How many claimed Bursary Fund then successfully claimed NEA. And lastly how many have at some point claimed all 3 EMA, Bursary Fund and NEA.

Yours faithfully,
Oliver

[Subject only] FoI 2427 - reply -- Benefit claimant statistics

show quoted sections

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Department for Work and Pensions's handling of my FOI request 'EMA, NEA, JSA, ESA, DLA, PIP, Bursary Fund, Incapacity Benefit and Universal credit claimant statistics'.

The reason that I was given for you not being able to complete the request was that I had provided you with a false name. That was no true. In the reply you gave me I was also given a link where I could find out more information about submitting a request properly and the web page did no exist on the server. Not that I actually did need the help to submit the FOI properly as I DID you the correct name.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/e...

Yours faithfully,

O.S
