Elephant & Castle shopping centre redevelopment - viability & grant funding information

Jerry Flynn made this Freedom of Information request to Greater London Authority

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was successful.

Dear Greater London Authority,

In paragraph 31 of your final planning report (ref: GLA/3654/02) approving developer Delancey's redevelopment of Elephant & Castle shopping centre, you say that Delancey's viability assessment has been "subject to the GLA’s Viability Tested Route and has undergone robust independent scrutiny".

Please provide me a copy of your independent appraisal which scrutinises Delancey's viability assessment and any associated documents, communications and meeting minutes.

Also please confirm whether Delancey (or its RP 'T3 Residential Ltd') has applied for grant funding for affordable housing in respect of the above scheme and provide a copy of any such grant funding bid along with any associated documents, communications and meeting minutes.

Yours faithfully,

Jerry Flynn

Mayor of London, Greater London Authority

Dear Mr Flynn

Thank you for your request for information. The Environmental Information
Regulations 2004 (Regulation 7(1)(3)) allows public authorities to extend
the period for responding to requests under the Act if the information
requested is complex or voluminous in nature. I am writing to inform you
that it will be necessary to extend the time limit to respond to your
request beyond 20 working days in this case. We expect to have made a
decision on this matter by 17 September 2019, though if we are able to
make a decision before then, we will contact you sooner.

Yours sincerely
