angie of the elder family

Dear Sir or Madam,

Dear Sir or Madam,

Under the Freedom of Information Act I would like an answer to the
following question:

1) Is electronic currency legal tender in the UK?

For your information I have been given to understand that it is
not.

It is my understanding that the Singapore Electronic Legal Tender
(SELT) system was to be brought into force by the end of 2008, but
i can find no confirmation that this is now the case either in
Singapore or the UK.

Whilst Wireless Access Protocol (WAP) makes the practice of using
electronic money and making e-payments common place, is it actually
legal tender?

Can you please be so kind as to confirm or deny my understanding
and, if necessary, correct my understanding?

and;

2) when electronic money is loaned, for example in the instance of
on-line loan applications, is there a creation of physical paper
money to correspond with the initial e-currency lent, and a
physical creation of paper money that corresponds to the interest
charged on e-money loaned sufficient to pay the debt back? If so,
at what point does the paper money go into circulation?

Thank you.

Yours Sincerely without ill-will, frivolity or vexation

Dear Sir or Madam,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Her Majesty's Treasury's handling of my FOI request 'Electronic currency'.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address:
http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/el...

I would also like to know why does it take more than 20 days to provide a simply "yes" or "No" answer, you should be able to accomplish that in less than 20 seconds, what are your reasons for not doing so?
Yours sincerely, without ill will, frivolity or vexation.

Dear whoever it was that attached the automated response,

Thankyou for taking the trouble to attach the automated unsigned response, however , this automated response which , incidently you have already sent to my husband previously in response to a different question, bears no resemblence to the questions asked and does not address or answer any of my queries.

May I suggest that you read the questions first before automating an irrelevant response

Yours sincerely,
