From January 2018 to the day this request is processed, please provide a list of organisations and companies that have requested electoral registers and/or electoral register updates, overseas voters lists, and/or absent voters lists.

For each organisation/company, please provide details on what they requested and when they requested it. Please also indicate whether their requests were fulfilled.

If you feel that a substantive response to this request is not possible within a reasonable time frame, I would be grateful if you could contact me and provide assistance as to how I can refine the request. Request for Information – Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

Ayrshire Valuation Joint Board

 

I refer to your e-mail of 27^th January 2019, in which you request under
the terms of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, certain
information in connection with provision of the Electoral Register.

 

More specifically, your request is in the following terms;

 

“From January 2018 to the day this request is processed, please provide a
list of organisations and companies that have requested electoral
registers and/or electoral register updates, overseas voters lists, and/or
absent voters lists.

 

For each organisation/company, please provide details on what they
requested and when they requested it. Please also indicate whether their
requests were fulfilled”.

 

 

As indicated in previous information requests, the Electoral Registration
Officer is not subject to Freedom of Information legislation in Scotland
and accordingly I am not required to respond to your request. However, in
a spirit of openness and co-operation I am prepared to provide an answer
to your request for information.

 

I can advise that Ayrshire Valuation Joint Board does not hold the
information you have requested, accordingly it cannot be provided.

 

I can however advise that the holder of the requested information is the
Assessor for Ayrshire Valuation who does hold the information you have
requested.

 

As you know you have requested the same information from the Assessor for
Ayrshire Valuation Joint Board who will provide the requested information
by means of a separate e-mail when responding to your specific e-mail.

 

As required by the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, I would
advise you that if you are dissatisfied with the way in which this request
has been dealt with you may apply to have this decision reviewed as
detailed within Section 20 of the Act. In order to do this you must apply
to the Assessor, in writing or other permanent means, stating your contact
details, your request and the reason why you are dissatisfied. Any such
application must be made within 40 working days of receipt of this notice.

 

Should you remain dissatisfied following such a review then you are
entitled to appeal, within the terms of section 47(1) of the Act, to the
Freedom of Information Commissioner for a decision by the Commissioner.
