This is a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act.

From January 2018 to the day this request is processed, please provide a list of organisations and companies that have requested electoral registers and/or electoral register updates, overseas voters lists, and/or absent voters lists.

For each organisation/company, please provide details on what they requested and when they requested it. Please also indicate whether their requests were fulfilled.

I would like to receive this information in an electronic format. If you feel that a substantive response to this request is not possible within a reasonable time frame, I would be grateful if you could contact me and provide assistance as to how I can refine the request. If you need any clarification, please contact me. I look forward to receiving a response in 20 working days. Many thanks.

Dear Jenna Corderoy

Companies purchasing the full voters roll together with monthly updates
during 2018 include only Experian, Equifax, Callcredit, Crediva &
Equiniti. Equifax also had the overseas list. These companies are all
authorised recipients of the voters roll information on payment of
statutory fee. No sales of Open Register to anyone else.

Full voters roll and monthly updates also provided to national and local
Labour Party, Conservative Party, Liberal Democrats. local Green party and
UKIP received monthly updates in part. The Electoral Commission, The
Courts Service and The British Library all received the full voters roll
as they to are authorised recipients but are not required to pay a fee.

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the
right to ask for an internal review. An internal review request should be
submitted in writing within 40 working days of receiving the original
reply and should be addressed to:

If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have
the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a
