Electoral Commission Partnership Grants

Julian Todd made this Freedom of Information request to Electoral Commission

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Electoral Commission,

From your website:

"There were two rounds of Partnership Grants funding. We awarded 12 grants in 2006 and seven in 2007 to a range of organisations."[1]

Unfortunately the pages containing further details about each funded project appears not to include the size of the grant.

Please can you either insert this information into the appropriate pages, or send me a list of these grant amounts?

I trust this is merely an oversight and there is no problem with disclosing this information, as I note that the details of the financial support has been disclosed in the reports for each of the projects under the New Initiative Fund.[2]

Dear Rob Cannon,

Many thanks for putting the grants details into those pages. It's a shame these programs are no longer on-going as we could have done so much with electionleaflets.org (formerly thestraightchoice.org) on a fraction of one of these grants. It is good, however, to be clear about what is demonstrably possible when there is the will.

Yours sincerely,

Julian Todd
