Dear Mr Salter

In your email  dated 2 September 2013 you asked for information about the
sale of electoral data to third parties within the past 24 months. This
information is contained in the attached table. The table does not include
sales of the full electoral register to credit reference agencies.

The edited register was last produced on 16 October 2012.

I trust this information is to your satisfaction, however, if you are
dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the right to ask
for an internal review. Internal review requests should be submitted
within two months of the date of receipt of the response to your original
letter and should be addressed to: Freedom of Information Officer, Civic
Centre, Windmill Street, Gravesend, Kent, DA12 1AU., or email
[1][Gravesham Borough Council request email].

If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have
the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a
decision. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at: Information
Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9
5AF.

Yours sincerely

Dear Ms Featherstone,

thank you for the timely partial reply, it is much appreciated.

I just need to inquire why sales to credit reference agencies are not included and that this data is provided as requested?

Yours sincerely,

Mark Salter

Dear Ms Featherstone,

and sorry one other query...

... there is an entry on the response for an
"Individual Purchaser", please provide the name of this person or the company they work or were acting for.

Yours sincerely,

Mark Salter

Dear Mr Salter

Thank you for your emails dated 9 September 2013 in response to Sue
Featherstone's email to you.

I attach an amended table showing sales of electoral data within the past
24 months. I am sorry the credit reference agencies were not included in
our original response but our understanding, based on the Big Brother
Watch link you sent us, was that you were interested in the edited
register only.

You asked about the "Individual Purchaser" entry. This person was
considering standing as a candidate in a parish by-election and purchased
the data relevant to that parish.

I trust this information is to your satisfaction, however, if you are
dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the right to ask
for an internal review. Internal review requests should be submitted
within two months of the date of receipt of the response to your original
letter and should be addressed to: Freedom of Information Officer, Civic

the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a
decision. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at: Information
