Dear Ms Pointon
Thank you for your request for information, which was received on 4 April.
You requested:
Would you provide copies of any advice being given to Local Authorities on
a) the implementation of the new Elective Home Education, None Statutory Guidance For Local Authorities 2019.
b) the Local Authorities responsibility to consult with local home educating families.
I have dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
The information you requested is not held by this department. No such advice has been given to local authorities, beyond the guidance document itself as published on 2 April 2019.
That guidance document does suggest that local authorities consult with local home educating families on their home education policies.
