FOI, Electoral Commission

Dear Mr M P Hay

Further to the email below where the Commission advised you will receive a
reply sent from the Commission by 16 December 2024.

Requests for information which complex, require a more formal response,
and or we rely on any exemptions are registered under the Freedom of
Information Act (FOI). FOIs are requests for recorded factual information
and not seeking an opinion or advice.

For more simple requests for information where we are setting out the
rules and providing any data/information these are treated as
business-as-usual requests, the advantages of this is that a requester
gets a more comprehensive response and in a shorter timeframe.

Your request will be answered but outside of the Freedom of Information
process. Your request will be responded to as a business-as-usual request
directly from the relevant team.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
